First Part, Question 1, Article 1

This series is a commentary on St. Thomas’ Summa, Part 1, Question 1, Article 1, in which I go through paragraph by paragraph. I read St. Thomas in light of my recent readings of Pascal, Leibniz, and Descartes.

I believe that these thinkers were much more Thomist & scholastic in their orientation than is the general consensus of contemporary scholarship…
